Who said it: Hegel or Hubbard?

Who said it: Hegel or Hubbard?

"I'm drinking lots of rum and popping pinks and greys."

Can you choose between science fiction writer and founder of the Church of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, and the philosopher and dialectical wizard Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel? How well do you know your Dialectics from your Dianetics? Your Scientology from your Science of Logic? Take our quiz and find out – it’s quicker than a stress-test.

TAKE THE QUIZ HERE!

The giveaway is now over! Thanks to everyone who entered. The winners are:

From twitter: @dfieni @PatchThompson92 @TinMachineII @harshwave @brendannh @arrodenbow @adamsimonstweet
From facebook:Connor Cusack, Ariel Voyager, Edward Nanno

If you want to be in with a chance to win a copy of Slavoj Žižek's new philosophical masterpiece - Absolute Recoil: Towards a New Foundation of Dialectical Materialism - share this quiz, or your results, via twitter (using the hashtag #hegelorhubbard) or via facebook (tagging @versobooks). We'll pick 10 winners - at random - by 16.00 EST.

The serious stuff:

Anyone who wants to enter the Žižek's giveaway must post a link to the quiz, or their results, online between the hours of 10.00 GMT/05.00 EST and 21.00 GMT/16.00 EST on Thursday 16th October:

- on twitter (you MUST use the hashtag #HegelorHubbard - otherwise we won't see it!)
- on facebook (tagging Verso Books otherwise ditto to the above!)

The giveaway is open to readers anywhere in the world as long as you have a working shipping address.

You will NOT automatically be entered into the giveaway just by doing the quiz. You must POST your results to be in with a chance of winning.

You can do the quiz as many times as you like! Of course you can just do the quiz and not enter the giveaway at all (that would be madness of course - have you seen the beauty of this book?)

If you don't win, never fear! There will be another chance to win on Friday the 17th Oct with something similarly trivial and fun.
