Marx and Capital: The Concept, The Book, The History
, a series of Monday evening lectures by David Harvey, begins tonight in New York at the CUNY Graduate Center's Center for Place, Culture, and Politics. All events in the series are free and open to the public.

  • September 12:  Capital as Value in Motion
  • September 19th: Value and Anti-Value*
  • September 26th: Value and Its Monetary Expression
  • November 7th: The Space and Time of Value
  • November 21st: Use Values: The Production of Wants, Needs and Desires
  • December 5: Bad Infinity and the Madness of Economic Reason


All lectures in this series, except the one held on 9/19, will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM in room c201/c202, at 365 5th Avenue, NY, NY 10016

*on 9/19 the lecture will be held in room 9204/9205
