Richard Dawkins has posted a link to a review by Terry Eagleton on his blog, saying "I'm not normally a fan of Terry Eagleton, but this is a terrific review." The book is Geoffrey Robertson's The Case of the Pope: Vatican Accountability for Human Rights Abuses.
Many of us are still feeling shaken by the death of the great historian of Russia and the Soviet Union Moshe Lewin. Lewin's work was fundamental to the development of a new approach to the history of the Russian Revolution that broke with Cold War orthodoxies.
