"Forensic Aesthetics" talk with Eyal Weizman

Join Verso author for a discussion about human rights, architecture and the ethical-legal status of the object

On April 28th, Eyal Weizman will be joined with Tom Keenan, Director of the Human Rights Project at Bard University, to discuss the concept of "forensic aesthetics" and the intersections of the visual, architectural, ethical and legal. Weizman will be drawing on his new book The Least of All Possible Evils: Humanitarian Violence From Arendt to Gaza, and the talk will largely circulate around questions addressing the possibility of the material object to "tell stories", make ethical claims on us as human subjects, and stand "witness" and thus speak out against human injustices.

The discussion will take place at the James Gallery at the Center for the Humanities at City University New York. Please visit The James Gallery's events page for more details.
