Wisconsin, Occupy & ...COMIX!

Dispatches from the Front Lines of Labor

Join Paul Buhle, John Kim & Terry Marshall for a book launch party and discussion hosted by Brecht Forum

Social movements since at least the late 1960s have been intimately connected with the comic art that their artists produced. We will celebrate the publication of It Started in Wisconsin: Dispatches from the Front Lines of the New Labor Protest (featuring a dozen pages of comics), and welcome the formation of OCCUPYCOMIX, Stories of the 99%, a grassroots collective of artists, illustrators, writers and riot makers who seek to capture the anecdotes, glimpses, pictures, critical stories and dreams of struggle occurring all around us today.

Paul Buhle, coeditor of It Started in Wisconsin, published Radical America Komiks in 1969 and has in recent years edited a half-dozen radical comics

John Kim and Terry Marshall are members of the production team of OCCUPYCOMIX
