Simon Critchley in conversation about mysticism, politics and the arts

Join Simon Critchley and others for an evening of art, politics and mysticism

From April 26th-29th, New York's Recess Art gallery will be hosting Dark Nights of the Universe, a mini-exhibition on mysticism that will be running for four days in conjunction with The Public School New York. As part of the exhibition's opening, Simon Critchley will be speaking alongside Eugene Thacker and Clodagh Emoe, discussing the nature of mysticism in relation to François Laruelle's Du noir univers. Critchley will be bringing his recent theorizations of mysticism, religion and politics from his new book The Faith of the Faithless: Experiments in Political Theology into a productive dialogue with larger questions about art and aesthetic experience.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. on April 26th and is free and open to the public. Please visit Recess Art's website for more details and click here for more information on The Public School, a new platform for collaborative, autodidactic activity.
