Close to the Edge author Sujatha Fernandes discusses music as a tool for social change
At the Yale Center for British Art, Sujatha Fernandes will join cultural critic Siddhartha Mitter along with the bands Noori, Red Baraat, and Asphalt Orchestra for a conversation about music as a tool for radical transformation across the globe. Fernandes's book Close to the Edge: In Search of the Global Hip Hop Generation is a travelogue across the street cultures of the world and the integration of hip hop in their communities.
