Have heard this dreadful news only this morning. I am shocked and grieved, and extend my deepest sympathies to Jake and all at Verso, to Clara's friends and to her family.
I was lucky to intern for Verso during 2010 and to have kept in touch with Clara since on various book-related projects. Clara was a warm, beautiful, encouraging and extremely intelligent woman. I remember her as full of enthusiasm for her work, and for the authors and causes she cared about. It is just too senseless for her life to have been cut so short.
