Lynne Segal and others discuss the legacy of second wave feminism and the women's liberation movement
Forty years ago, feminist thinkers and artists interrogated the role of women as workers and producers and the representation of women in art. What happened to the new worlds of possibility promised by the women's liberation and second wave feminist movements of the twentieth century? This panel discussion addresses the legacy of feminist art and theory and its enduring relevance to contemporary struggles.
Speakers include Lynne Segal, author of Straight Sex.

The event is organised to launch Radical Thinkers set 9 featuring 4 classic feminist texts from Michèle Barrett and Mary McIntosh, Sheila Rowbotham, Juliet Mitchell, and Lynne Segal. Set 9 will be published by Verso in January 2015.

Tickets cost £12 and are available to purchase from the Tate website.
