Please join us for the San Francisco launch of La Lucha: The Story of Lucha Castro and Human Rights in Mexico, a nonfiction graphic novel about the lives of human rights defenders in Mexico.

Illustrated in hauntingly beautiful comic book art, La Lucha portrays in rich detail the stories of families ripped apart by disappearances and murders—especially gender-based violence—and the remarkably brave advocacy, protests, and investigations of ordinary citizens who turned their grief into resistance.

Event will feature Lucha Castro director of Centro de Los Derechos de Las Mujeres (Center for Women's Rights) in Chihuahua and
Special Guest: Valeria Brabata (Global Fund for Women)

Please email: campaigns@frontlinedefenders.org to register

Autographed copies available with donation of $20 to support human rights defenders at risk.
