HANDS OFF CUBA | Reading List

The United States, emboldened by its kidnapping of Venezuela’s sitting President, Nicolás Maduro, openly declared in January that it aims to destroy the Communist Party of Cuba by the end of the year.

Trump’s venomous claim that Cuba poses “an unusual and extraordinary threat” to the United States is made all the more absurd as the nation faces rolling blackouts, devastating food shortages, and a throttling of its medical supplies. The only threat presented by the peaceful nation is, as Salvador Allende once said, that “the Cuban revolution is a national revolution, but it is also a revolution of the whole of Latin America. It has shown the way for the liberation of all our peoples.”<

For further reading on the Cuban Revolution, its reverberations throughout the world, and the U.S.’s long war on the nation, consider the titles below.

We've also made the ebook for The Declarations of Havana free to download.
