Fanaticism: The Uses of an Idea

A talk with Alberto Toscano
Verso Books, NYU's Department of Media, Culture, and Communication, and the Humanities Initiative are proud to present a talk on the idea of fanaticism by Alberto Toscano, lecturer in sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London. Toscano is the author of The Theatre of Production, translator of Alain Badiou's The Century and Logics of Worlds and co-editor of Alain Badiou's Theoretical Writings and On Beckett. He has published numerous articles on contemporary philosophy, politics and social theory, and is an editor of Historical Materialism. His most recent book, Fanaticism: The Uses of an Idea, is published by Verso.
