Join authors James Bridle and Will Wiles as they delve underneath the surface of modern urban and technological living to explore the increasingly indistinguishable relationship between truth, fiction and memory.
Taking their lead from Bridle’s revealing book New Dark Age—about information systems and their hold on our lives— and Wiles' new novel Plume—about a man in the midst of a nervous breakdown who fears he is being manipulated by a sinister mapping app on his phone— the two authors will investigate the nature of urbanity and conspiracy thinking, and will ask why access to seemingly endless data has not redeemed our progressively unsettling and precarious times.
The event will be followed by a Q&A and a book signing with both authors.
