Internships
From January 2022 we have two 6-month internship positions available. One in Marketing and Publicity, and another in Editorial.
Verso's internships are intended to act as an introduction to book publishing, as well as to the company’s wider political and intellectual project. The role is viewed as a first step to gaining a position within the publishing industry.
Both internships differ hugely and require different skill sets and interests. We ask that you think carefully about which internship you are best suited to and most interested in. Please do not apply for both. Please see further details below for each internship.
Our internships are full-time and paid at the current rate of London Living Wage for 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Paid holiday and sick leave is included. Given the current situation we are working remotely from home and we would aim to support the intern appropriately in this situation. You must be living and have the right to work in the UK.
We are particularly interested to see applications from candidates from backgrounds that are currently underrepresented within publishing; working class candidates, women and people of colour are encouraged to apply. A degree is not necessary.
Verso is an accredited Living Wage employer.
We are working with Creative Access on our internships, and successful applicants will be enrolled on the Creative Access Entry Support Programme, which offers a programme of training, network and support for candidates from under-represented communities entering the creative industries.
Deadline: 27th October (Marketing and Publicity) and 31st October (Editorial).
